The Center for Advanced Laser and Extreme Photonics at CSU’s Foothills Campus researches ultra-high intensity lasers, fusion energy, and nanoscale metrology. It advances x-ray and particle beam applications in medicine and material science and develops advanced optical coatings and soft x-ray lasers for precise measurement.
The facility, featuring a multi-Peta-watt laser, ranks among the world’s most powerful. With reinforced concrete and specialized HVAC, it supports fusion energy research, plasma diagnostics, and target production, and includes a laser bay, target area, cleanroom labs, and a control room for operating three lasers simultaneously. Once complete, the building will support the CSU’s mission and drive economic development in Northern Colorado.
The Tetrad Real Estate team is currently working closely with the user groups to define the program and help bring their vision to life though proper management of the design team and by ensuring the contracting partners are on time and on budget.
