Colorado State University, Johnson Family Equine Hospital Renovation

1,000 SF • FORT COLLINS, COLORADO

In 2024, the Johnson Family Equine Hospital (JFEH) at Colorado State University (CSU) enlisted Tetrad Real Estate (TRE) to manage the transformation of an existing surgical suite into an imaging suite for a large animal CT scanner. This new imaging device enhances the range of services JFEH can offer to their clients and the community. As part of TRE’s continuing operation and maintenance of the JFEH facility the team carried out the remodel while ensuring the hospital’s operations continued smoothly and without interruptions.

JFEH is a 99,000-square-foot complex located on the CSU South Campus in Fort Collins. Featuring surgical and imaging services, as well as extensive rehabilitation and therapeutic facilities, JFEH has the capacity to house a variety of equine patient types, including outpatient care, long-term orthopedic patients, gastro-intestinal critical care cases, as well as a dedicated isolation unit.  It features a state-of-the-art large indoor soft and hard surface arena, a unique space that sets this facility apart as the top equine hospital in the country.
