COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY SOUTH & FOOTHILLS CAMPUSES MASTER DEVELOPER
• FORT COLLINS, COLORADO
In late 2016, Tetrad Real Estate (TRE) was awarded a Public-Private Partnership (P3) Master Developer role with Colorado State University (CSU). CSU chose the P3 model to establish a relationship with a partner that could not only lead the development of its South and Foothills Campuses, but also offer financing, operations and maintenance for the various projects. This long-term relationship includes consulting, master planning, infrastructure improvements and the development of numerous new facilities. A partial list of projects within the P3 include: wet lab research facility, insectary and infectious disease research facility, campus infrastructure, equine veterinary teaching hospital, and a veterinary teaching hospital addition and renovation. Tetrad has completed multiple facilities within the relationship and is providing the operations and maintenance for the buildings that are in service.
As partners, CSU and TRE will evaluate each project and determine the best value strategy for delivery. In some instances, TRE may provide the full design, build, finance, operations and maintenance (DBFOM) spectrum of services and in others, will provide just the design and build. This flexible approach allows CSU to maximize value through a custom solution to each project.
